Ali McGregor
Creative Producer
Ali McGregor is an award-winning creative producer and artistic director working across opera, cabaret and contemporary performance.
A former Artistic Director of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival (2016–2018), she is known for curating bold, inclusive programs that championed new voices and redefined the boundaries of cabaret in Australia. She is the founder of FLUXUS, a platform for operatic experimentation and interdisciplinary collaboration. Through FLUXUS, she co-created and produced The Call for Opera Queensland and is currently developing the FLUXUS Opera Lab, supported by an Australia Council Fellowship.
Ali was the original concept creator and a lead artist on Lorelei for Victorian Opera, a critically acclaimed new Australian opera that continues to be staged across the country.
With a background as a principal soprano for Opera Australia and over two decades performing internationally, Ali brings a deeply informed, artist-led approach to producing. Her work focuses on innovation, accessibility, and reimagining how opera and live performance can connect with contemporary audiences.
