Alexandra Amerides (he | him | his) is a dynamic and versatile artist whose work has spanned immersive, site-specific performance and contemporary operatic roles. Beginning their dramatic career at a young age Amerides has held scholarships with Melbourne's most distinguished ensembles and companies, bringing a distinctive vocal timbre and dramatic instinct, resulting in performances that are musically assured and theatrically compelling. Recently returned from Berlin to Melbourne, Alexandra is actively forging a multifaceted career across contemporary opera, experimental music theatre, and concerts, with a particular affinity for new work and collaborative practice. 

While their passion for the concert hall informs a vast repertoire from the fullest orchestra to the intimate recording studio, Alexandra will always be called to the theatre, and political activism through performance art and the avant-garde. With bold strides, Amerides aspires to follow in the footsteps of the transgender and non-conforming artists, and activists, who innovated the salons, streets, and stages before him.
